Assistant Catering Manager
PPHA2, Catering & Logistics, GRP
To assist the catering and logistics manager in the day to day management and running of the on-board catering service.
To assist and manage rail logistics in liaison with TFR.
Assisting catering and logistics manager in the execution of the various activities required to manage and sustain a
qualitative and comprehensive on-board catering service.
Assisting catering and logistics manager in administrative duties and requirements.
Assist with catering student supervision.

Stock control / supervision with an emphasis on receiving of goods, quality, quantity, storage and price checks.
Assist catering and logistics manger with the management and development of catering students.
Knowledgeable on all relevant occupational health and safety requirements.
Assisting catering and logistics manager with travel logistics.
Assisting catering and logistics manager with rail operation logistics in liaison with TFR.
To ensure security vigilance in dining / kitchen area.
To ensure catering students adhere to required dress code.
Qualifications & Experience
Diploma in Hospitality and Catering Management
Minimum of one year experiential training / or relevant practical experience
Valid code 08 driver’s license
Food costing, stock control, menu planning etc.
Knowledge of an African language will be an advantage
Ability to communicate at various levels
Ability to work long hours in a multi-cultural environment
